When the stars aligned it was certainly a “collab” sent from Heaven.  By recommendation of a friend, Hayley, the owner of Vivian Drew, was encouraged to share a pair of her custom earrings with Birmingham based Culinary and Lifestyle expert, Ivy Odom.  Ivy was thrilled to receive the gift, and quickly saw that the aesthetic of Vivian Drew aligned perfectly with her own personal taste and style.  Timing is certainly everything, because Ivy was in full force planning mode for her upcoming wedding.  As you already know, weddings are exactly what Vivian Drew does best!  Hayley was now commissioned to design Ivy’s wedding day earrings, and to design a collection of beautiful baubles for her entire wedding party to wear in April of 2022.  Needless to say no detail was overlooked for Ivy’s special day... including the beautiful nuances of each earring designed for Ivy's bridesmaids! *(Beautiful wedding day Vivian Drew earrings worn by Ivy & a glimpse of her custom bridal party designs - April 2022)  When working together starts to feel like a new friendship, the most perfect collaboration is born.  Fast forward to 2023 and these busy working women are ready to launch their first collaboration collection Ivy Odom + Vivian Drew, which are, in my opinion, the most perfect pastels and pearls.  I almost forgot to mention...these gorgeous earrings are not only available with traditional posts and backs, but also with the option of clip ons!  Ivy wanted to make sure that these were accessible to all customers, including her Mom, who does not have pierced ears.  So before you get to know the collection….we invite you to take a minute to "talk style" with our new friend Ivy! How would you describe your style?  Classic, Southern, Preppy, Fancy, Unique  What is the best style advice you’ve ever gotten?  Don’t do anything without your “lips” on. My Mama swears by a swipe of lipstick to instantly make a look more put-together. Your go-to playlist on Pandora or Spotify?  Nancy Meyers Kitchen on Spotify is a heavy hitter. I love pretending I’m on a movie set: dancing, sipping wine and cooking in a fancy kitchen. What item in your closet do you wear the most?  My LAKE Pajamas Breton stripe dresses, I have it in 2 colors. I call it my “travel dress”. It’s so comfy but feels like a put-together look that definitely beats joggers. What is one thing you wish you could tell the younger you about fashion/style?  Don’t feel like you have to follow the trends to fit in. Be yourself and have fun expressing yourself through clothes! What is your favorite store to shop for clothes?  Tuckernuck! It’s the majority of my closet.  Where can you find the best tee shirt?  J Crew. I love their simple tees, especially the classic crew neck striped ones. Do you prefer statement or delicate jewelry?  If both, how do you mix the 2?   I always love a statement earring. It’s such a fun way to express my personality, but I love a delicate necklace that complements the base color of the earring. My rings are also simple, delicate and classic. What pieces of jewelry do you have on no matter where you are going?  Earrings and rings! I always keep a backup pair of “emergency earrings” in my purse/car just in case. My wedding rings are always on, along with 2 other sentimental heirloom rings.
